Description
This card uses a lenticular effect for a punchline: when you tilt it, Nick Wilde is hit by a splash of water and is suddenly soaking wet. Judy Hopps and Nibbles Maplestick are also in the frame, with the scene taken from the Marsh Market in Zootopia 2. Unlike a static image, the appeal here lies in the movement itself, which is why the card is almost automatically passed along as soon as someone picks it up. The joke works even if you haven't seen the movie, because the character's reaction stands on its own.
The back follows a classic postcard layout; the address field is illustrated with small figures and leaves enough room for a handwritten message. At approximately 10 x 14.8 cm, the format corresponds to an A6 postcard, fitting for collector sleeves, albums, and narrow frames. The coated surface absorbs ink a bit more slowly, so writing with a gel pen or fineliner is cleaner than with a ballpoint pen. The card stock is stiff enough to stand upright on its own.
For those who already own the quieter Marsh Market card, this offers the humorous variant of the same scene; the two complement each other well when placed side-by-side. Whether as a greeting sent by mail, a collector's item, or a small gift for Zootopia fans: the effect carries the card. Officially licensed original merchandise from Japan, imported in small quantities by TheHoneyhugs.
