Description
The drive across the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the most iconic images from Inside Out, and it is precisely this moment that is featured on this card. The lenticular print makes the motif flip as you tilt it, allowing Riley's "headquarters" and the bridge scene to transition into one another. Instead of a static film still, you get a short sequence that is difficult to photograph but looks great in person. The transition is smooth rather than jarring, which is often not the case with cheaper lenticular prints. If you collect the series, you will recognize the card by its thin white border.
On the back, the characters are illustrated in small scale in the address area, leaving enough space next to them for a handwritten message. Measuring approximately 10 x 14.8 cm, the card corresponds to the A6 postcard format and fits in standard card sleeves, scrapbooks, and slim frames. The coated surface absorbs ink more slowly than regular paper, so a gel pen or fineliner will provide the cleanest results. The card stock is stiff enough for the card to stand upright without a stand.
Recommended for ages fifteen and up. Whether as a greeting sent by mail, a mini-poster on the wall, or a collectible in an album, the card works well in all three roles because the effect functions regardless of the light. For Pixar collectors, it is also one of the few Inside Out cards with a lenticular surface. Officially licensed original merchandise from the Disney Store Japan.
