Description
A lenticular card features a fine ridged structure on its surface, which reveals a different image depending on the viewing angle. On this card from Zootopia 2, this creates a moving scene featuring Nick Wilde, Judy Hopps, and Nibbles Maplestick at the Marsh Market. If you tilt the card slowly, the moment plays out like a very short film clip in your hand. Naturally, a product photo cannot replicate this effect. When holding the card for the first time, most people tilt it back and forth several times until the sequence becomes clear.
The back is also designed: Gary the Snake appears as a small extra in the address field, leaving enough space next to it for a personal message. With dimensions of approximately 10 x 14.8 cm, the format corresponds to a classic A6 postcard and therefore fits into standard card sleeves, collectors' albums, and slim picture frames. Gel pens are better suited for writing than ballpoint pens because the coated surface absorbs ink a bit more slowly. The base material underneath is stiff enough for the card to stand on its own on a shelf.
The card can be mailed normally, though many collectors prefer to keep it and place it on a shelf, where the effect becomes visible as you walk by. It also works well as an addition to a gift, as a souvenir, or as a supplement to a Zootopia collection. Officially licensed original merchandise from Japan, imported by TheHoneyhugs and shipped from Switzerland.
