Description
The SAGA series gives every Star Wars film its own lenticular card, and Episode III – "Revenge of the Sith" – is the most rewarding subject for this: hardly any other part of the saga relies so heavily on a transformation. That is exactly what the lenticular print captures. If you tilt the card, the image changes, and in between there is a short transition where both images can be seen simultaneously. The transition is clearly visible, not just hinted at.
At approx. 14.8 x 10 cm, the card corresponds to the postcard format and thus fits into standard picture frames, collector sleeves, and card stands. It works better when displayed upright than lying flat, as the viewing angle changes anyway when walking past, which automatically triggers the effect. Those collecting multiple episodes get a consistently designed series with a uniform format and a uniform back. Several cards placed side by side create a cohesive display on a shelf.
PET is used as the base material instead of cardboard: it is more dimensionally stable, more resistant to moisture, and significantly less prone to dog-eared corners. Fingerprints are quickly visible on the ribbed surface, however; a microfiber cloth is sufficient for cleaning. Officially licensed and made in Japan.
