Description

With a capacity of 1080 milliliters, this Hello Kitty mold is the big sister in the "Snack Time" series of silicone baking molds. It is intended for that one special cake to be placed on the table: sponge cake, batter cake, or a layered dessert that, once unmolded, immediately reveals who served as the model. This makes it the obvious choice for birthdays and parties.

The great advantage of flexible silicone becomes apparent when unmolding: the cake comes out in one piece, without edges breaking off or the design being lost. The mold can be used in the oven and microwave, as well as in the refrigerator and freezer, making cold desserts possible as well. For cleaning, it can be turned inside out and is then dishwasher-safe. Another practical feature is that the soft mold can be stored in a space-saving manner and requires no greasing before filling – this saves time and prevents the greasy edge that greased metal pans often leave behind. For larger gatherings, it is worth baking the cake the day before and letting it rest covered overnight.

Included is a sponge cake recipe from Japanese cooking expert Misako Akita, written in Japanese. Please never place the mold on an open flame, stovetop, or in a grill, and do not exceed 230 °C in the oven. This item is from a small Japanese import; we cannot guarantee reorders.
