Description
Four little Hello Kitties at once: This 3D silicone mold from the Sanrio "Snack Time" series bakes mini-madeleines where the motif is rendered in relief rather than just being hinted at. These little cakes are ideal for children's birthday parties, advent platters, or as a small gift, as they are quick to make yet look as though you spent a great deal of time on them.
The soft silicone releases the fine contours cleanly, so the cakes can be removed from the cavities without breaking. In addition to classic madeleine batter, you can also use it to prepare pudding, jelly, chocolate, or ice cream – the mold is oven and microwave safe, as well as refrigerator and freezer friendly. A tip for jelly and pudding: dip the mold in lukewarm water for five to ten seconds before turning it out. Storage is also straightforward, as the flexible mold can be compressed to save space and will fit in any drawer. There is no need to grease it before filling, which saves time and ensures the batter tastes authentic, with no buttery edge.
It is easiest to clean by turning it inside out or putting it in the dishwasher. Please do not use over an open flame or in a grill, and keep temperatures in the oven below 230 °C. A madeleine recipe is included. Like almost everything we offer, this mold comes from a small direct import from Japan, so restocking cannot be guaranteed.
