Description
A set of chopsticks featuring the Sorcerer's Apprentice scene from Fantasia, in which the brooms carry water on their own. The broom motif extends across both the chopsticks and the matching rest, making the set aimed more at adult fans than children. At 22 centimeters, the chopsticks are the standard length for adults and feel distinctly different in the hand than the 16.5-centimeter children's versions.
The rest measures approximately four by two centimeters and is part of Japanese dining culture: the chopsticks are placed on it between bites instead of being laid across the plate or bowl. This makes the set more cohesive for a table setting at home, for a sushi night, or as a gift for someone who enjoys Japanese cooking than just a pair of chopsticks. It is best stored lying flat so that the lacquer does not get pressure marks. In a cutlery drawer, a flat tray or the original paper sleeve compartment is sufficient for this purpose.
Care instructions: Hand washing and thorough drying are the safest option for lacquered chopsticks, as the dishwasher will dull the lacquer over time. A note: chopsticks are cutlery and not toys; the ends come to a point. This item is a direct import from the Tokyo Disney Resort; restocking is not guaranteed. Shipping is from Switzerland.
