Description
Woven, not printed: This towel is a jacquard, meaning the pattern is created directly during the weaving process rather than being applied as a layer of color on top. The advantage becomes apparent over time: a woven pattern does not fade and will not crack when washed.
The motif has a geometric structure reminiscent of building blocks, with character elements incorporated into the design. The hem is also stylized and differs from figure to figure within the series. The towel measures approximately 34 by 35 centimeters and is made of 100 percent cotton with a soft pile. It is a traditional gift in Japan for a birth or a celebration. The towel dries quickly and takes up little space in the cupboard. The workmanship is neat and designed for daily use. We import these items from Japan in small quantities; restocking is not guaranteed.
Notes: Wash separately before first use, as colored terry cloth items may bleed initially. Do not use fabric softener, as it reduces absorbency. Do not bleach or iron at high temperatures. Do not let the towel snag on hooks or zippers, and trim any loose threads instead of pulling them out. Store in a dry, airy place. Further information in Japanese can be found on the packaging.
