Description
A puzzle for learning characters: This puzzle is intended as an educational toy in Japan. The forty-six pieces feature the hiragana characters, the Japanese syllabary; the same characters are also printed on the base, allowing the pieces to be matched accordingly.
Please note: This involves Japanese script, not the Latin alphabet. For children who are not learning Japanese, it remains a puzzle featuring Mickey and his friends with a unique look; those who are learning Japanese or are being raised bilingually, however, gain an educational tool. It is manufactured by Tenyo in Japan. Incidentally, solving the puzzle trains pattern recognition, color sense, and manual dexterity. The pieces are sturdily punched and fit together cleanly. The box takes up little space on a shelf. As a gift, the puzzle is well-received. We import these items from Japan in small quantities; restocking is not guaranteed.
Important notes: Age recommendations are in Japanese on the packaging; please check before purchasing. Puzzle pieces are small parts and should not be put in the mouth; the puzzle is not suitable for children under 3 years old. Do not continue to use if pieces are damaged with sharp edges. Store in a dry place, as cardboard swells and warps in moisture. Further information is in Japanese on the packaging. We are happy to help with questions regarding individual details.
