Description
This foldable box is designed for triangular onigiri, the Japanese rice balls that are otherwise easily crushed in a lunchbox. The shape keeps the rice triangles stable, and after eating, the box can be folded flat so it takes up hardly any space in a bag or backpack. The retro Winnie the Pooh design reflects the character's classic look.
When folded, the box measures approximately 86 by 106 by 28 millimeters, and when assembled, 88 by 106 by 82 millimeters, weighing about 75 grams. It holds three small onigiri of about 70 grams each. The casing is made of polypropylene, heat-resistant up to 140 degrees, and is dishwasher and microwave safe. According to the manufacturer, an inorganic antibacterial agent has been added to the plastic, tested according to ISO 22196 with SIAA marking; the manufacturer itself points out that not all bacteria are inhibited. The box therefore does not replace refrigeration. We import such items from Japan in small quantities; restocking is not guaranteed.
Important: The box is not airtight, and liquids may leak out. Onigiri should not be stored in it for long periods, especially in warm conditions. Do not use over an open flame, in an oven, or under a grill. The manufacturer lists the box as a lunch accessory for ages four and up; younger children will need help opening and closing it. It is manufactured in Japan. We ship from Switzerland. We are happy to help with any questions regarding individual details.
