Description
Two tiers that disappear into one another: This round bento box consists of two levels that can be nested after eating, so that it only takes up the space of a single layer in your backpack. This is the standard design for bento boxes in Japan, as the return journey would otherwise be just as bulky with an empty box as the trip there.
Both levels have a non-stick coating to prevent rice from sticking to the bottom. A round onigiri fits perfectly inside. An inner lid and a plastic fork are included in the delivery. Except for the sealing lid, all parts are microwave and dishwasher safe. The box measures approximately 106 millimeters in diameter. It makes for a well-received gift. The box sits comfortably in the hand. It takes up little space in a backpack. We import these items from Japan in small quantities; restocking is not guaranteed.
Important notes: Although the box can be locked, it has no seal; therefore, foods with a lot of liquid, sauce, or soup should not be placed inside, as they will leak. The sealing lid must not be placed in the microwave or dishwasher. Remove the lid before heating. Allow all parts to dry separately after washing. Do not use metal cutlery or abrasive cleaners on the non-stick coating. Further information can be found on the packaging in Japanese. In everyday use, the item is quickly at hand and easy to stow away.
