Description
Melamine cup featuring Chip 'n Dale from the autumnal "Autumn" collection by Disney Store Japan. The series uses warm tones of brown, rust, and ochre, accompanied by leaf and acorn motifs, which fit the theme of the two chipmunks perfectly. The inside is also printed. We carry several cups from this autumn series with different designs, so it's worth taking a close look at the product image.
The cup holds 290 milliliters and is approximately 89 millimeters in diameter and height. Melamine resin is temperature-resistant from about -20 to +120 degrees Celsius: it feels firmer in the hand than thin plastic but without the risk of shattering like porcelain. This is exactly why the material has been the standard for children's tableware in Japan for decades. It is dishwasher safe, making it more practical for everyday family life than a ceramic mug.
Melamine resin is not microwave-safe and should not be placed in the oven. Hot drinks should be allowed to cool slightly before pouring, and for small children, an adult should check the temperature. Abrasives and hard brushes will leave matte spots on the design over time; a soft cloth is sufficient for daily cleaning. Seasonal items like this autumn series are produced in Japan for only a few weeks and are not restocked afterward. Replenishments are never guaranteed for these imports.
