Description
Two plastic cups in different colors with Disney princess motifs, each holding around 200 milliliters. The volume is deliberately chosen to be child-friendly: enough for a serving of water or milk, but small enough that a knocked-over cup won’t cause much of a mess. With a diameter of about 74 millimeters and a height of 68 millimeters, they fit comfortably in small hands, and since there are two cups in the set, one can be kept at daycare while the other stays at home.
For daily life at daycare, two details are crucial. First, a name sticker is included so that the cup can be identified within a group. Second, the cup has a hanging hole, allowing it to dry upside down after washing instead of collecting leftover water in the bottom. Both sound unspectacular, but they determine whether a cup is actually used in everyday life. The material is polypropylene, heat-resistant up to around 140 degrees, making it suitable for microwaves and dishwashers.
The cups are manufactured in Japan. A note: Drinks heated in the microwave should be allowed to cool before drinking; it is best for an adult to handle removal and testing. Colors and motif assignments may vary slightly depending on the production batch, as the series is regularly reissued in Japan. The set also works well as an addition to a larger gift. Limited Japanese import, shipped from Switzerland.
