Description
The "Bears' School," known in Japan as Kuma no Gakkō, provides the motif for this silicone mold with four cavities. Two of these form the face, each with a volume of around 60 ml, and two form the full body, each with about 50 ml. This creates four small cakes in two variations per batch, which looks much more lively on a plate than four identical pieces. The characters are known in Japan from picture books and are intentionally drawn in a simple style.
The soft silicone can be easily turned inside out for unmolding, which helps preserve even fine contours. The temperature range of approximately -20 to 230 °C allows for use in ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, and freezers – for madeleines and mini cakes, as well as for pudding, jelly, or ice cream. A madeleine recipe idea is included. The mold is dishwasher safe. Silicone does not absorb odors and remains unobtrusive even after many uses.
For safety: The mold must not be placed over open flames, in the grill, or in toasters without temperature control. In electric ovens, keep the temperature below 230 °C. Filling the mold and removing it from the hot oven should be done by adults, even if children enjoy helping with stirring the batter. For jelly, dip the mold in lukewarm water for five to ten seconds before unmolding. Imported from Japan, manufactured in China. Children can easily help with stirring and filling.
